Asaichi sings vocals in a band, a career that he hoped would help him pick up chicks. Initially, as a straight guy, he's disgusted by Yoru's overwhelming attraction to him, and the disgust remains even as his feelings towards Yoru turn to lust. When Yoru helps him after he's attacked by the yakuza Iori and Tomoki, Asaichi starts to realize that maybe his feelings for Yoru are something more. Finally, after months of thinking over his feelings, he asks Yoru to date him.Despite Asaichi's initial shallow intentions for starting his band, he has since grown invested in its success. He's somewhat short with an average voice and looks. Asaichi is optimistic and enthusiastic, but he tends to be hot-headed and has a bit of an inferiority complex.

Yoru has been one-sidedly in love with Asaichi since watching Asaichi's band perform in middle school. Driven by his love for Asaichi, he also becomes a vocalist in his own band; when his band breaks up, he learns bass to fill in a newly empty spot in Asaichi's band. He's open with his feelings towards Asaichi, and is willing to accept any relationship with him, even if it's one-sided and far from healthy. Yoru helps Asaichi after he's attacked by Iori and Tomoki, and is overjoyed when Asaichi asks him out a few months later.Yoru is primarily motivated by his love for Asaichi, including in his career choice, though he's naturally a gifted singer and songwriter. His voice and appearance are so exceptional that he's the most popular in the band, to the extent of attracting stalkers. He's generally ditzy and absent-minded.
